Dear
CODEPINKer,
As
George Bush threatens to veto a Congressional funding bill
that he feels restricts his ability to wage this disastrous
war in Iraq, need to be ready with our response. We
must tell Congress not to surrender and hand Bush a blank
check, but to do just the opposite: restrict funds
to be used only for a swift and safe withdrawal that will
bring our troops home by the holidays.
Both
United for Peace and Justice and MoveOn are calling for urgent
actions as soon as Bush vetoes the Iraq supplemental. We
will join them to send a strong clear message to Congress:
Don't Buy Bush's War. Find a rally in your area

As
we continue to pour our energy into urging Congress to stop
buying Bush's war, we need to ask them to stop supporting
the two people most responsible for this war: George Bush
and Dick Cheney.
The time is long overdue to begin proceedings for their impeachment
for leading us into an illegal and unjust war, sanctioning
the use of torture, threatening to bomb Iran and spying on
us. They must be held accountable.
On Wednesday April 24, we had a great breakthrough, when Congressman
Dennis Kucinich introduced articles of impeachment
against Dick Cheney.
This
Saturday, April 28th, Americans around the country are gathering
to demand impeachment.

Mother's
Day appeal sheets to be delivered to Congress the
week of Mother's Day.
If
you can't attend these events, call
your Congressperson and urge him or her to stop buying Bush
and his war. Tell your Representative
to stand strong, be accountable. Fund withdrawal, not war.
Impeach those who lied and manipulated us into this war.
