Close Guantanamo

The U.S. prison facility at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba entered its 12th year of operation on Saturday, January 11, 2014. The prison currently holds 155 detainees with 76 approved for transfer. On January 22, 2009, President Obama signed an executive order to close the camp.

CODEPINK joined an international day of action to Close Guantanamo! In Miami, local activists including CODEPINK will march and protest outside the U.S. Southern Command, the command center for the prison camp. In Washington DC, activists occupied the National Museum of American History installing a torture exhibition.
