Our New Year's Resolution...

Dear Activist,

Together, we’ve spent 2013 building a movement for peace, and it’s working. Between preventing US military intervention in Syria, peace talks with Iran, a reduction of killer drone strikes, and so much more, we are ready for action in 2014! Read more about what raised our spirits this year in an article by Medea Benjamin called 10 Good Things About 2013.

Please help us kick off the New Year with a generous donation.

Our New Year’s resolution is to help increase global momentum to stop the war in Syria. That's why we'll be in Switzerland from January 20-22, 2014, with a coalition of women’s groups for Women Lead to Peace during the UN-hosted Syrian peace talks. In solidarity with the people of Syria, we’ll be calling for an immediate ceasefire, arms sales embargo, humanitarian aid for the refugees, and the full participation of women at the peace negotiations.

Delegations will be joining us from Ireland, Bosnia, Liberia, Columbia, Sri Lanka, and many other countries. We’ll hear testimonies from women coming from countries that made the transition from war to peace. On January 22, the day of the official UN peace talks, we’ll be inside and out with creative, beautiful and exciting actions to show our support for an immediate ceasefire in Syria.

Will you make a donation to help us make this possible?

Here at CODEPINK we are thrilled to start off a fresh new year with such an exciting initiative. We thank you for your generosity and encouragement.

Onward toward a peaceful 2014,
Alli, Janet, Jodie, Lisa, Marina, Medea, Nancy K, Nancy M, Noor, Perrine, Sara, Sergei, and Tighe
