Dear Activist,
Jeh Johnson's
legal legacy: drone warfare, mass surveillance, and cracking down on whistleblowers.
To reward
him for these belligerent policies, President Obama has nominated him
to head the Department of Homeland Security. On November 13th the Senate
Committee on Homeland Security will hold the confirmation hearing.
Take action now: Tell
the Committee to vote NO for Jeh Johnson to head the DHS!
Here's why:
 While
he was top lawyer at the Pentagon, Johnson provided the legal justification
for President Obama's drone wars. He's even an outspoken advocate
of the targeted assassination of American citizens.
Johnson
supports the government mass surveillance that has shocked and outraged
people across the globe, including our allies.
He's called for the criminal prosecution of the heroic whistleblower Edward
Snowden, as well as imprisoned Wikileaks whistleblower Chelsea Manning.
A former Obama bundler, Johnson has personally donated tens of thousands
of dollars in campaign money to the President and influential Senators.
Tell
the Senate Committee on Homeland Security: NO to Johnson as head of DHS!
