Dear CODEPINKer,

Change is in the air. Doesn't it feel amazing?

We are thrilled and inspired beyond words by the upswell of people taking to the street around the country to demand social and economic justice. CODEPINK has had a non-stop presence at Occupy Wall Street from the very beginning - back when Occupy Wall Street was just a bunch of people doing yoga and street theater on Wall Street! We will continue to camp out with joy, in the cold and rain, to make the needs of the people known.

Now CODEPINK is also part of the newly formed Occupy K Street in DC. We've been planning for months to march in our nation's capitol to mark the 10th anniversary of the war in Afghanistan, which is today, and couldn't be more excited by the convergence with the spontaneous and growing Occupy Together movement.

Check out this beautiful aerial photo (top right) we orchestrated that represents the 99% of Americans who want our leaders to focus on human needs, not corporate greed. We will continue to push Obama from Freedom Plaza (and Wall St. and town squares around the country) to bring our war dollars home where they are desperately needed.

What can you do?

Occupy locally! Find an occupy action in your area through Occupy Together website. Don't forget to wear your pink!

Support Occupy Wall Street! It is COLD outside, and we need your support. Donate here to send sleeping bags, scarves, gloves and umbrellas to our intrepid campers for justice. We have received wonderful care packages from CODEPINK San Francisco (check out the mailing address!) and other generous supporters-V Day's Eve Ensler even stopped by with bags of supplies!

Sign our petition in solidarity

We've told you our stories, and shared our photos, send us yours!

With cold hands but hearts burning with hope and possibility,
Alli, C.J., Farida, Gayle, Janet, Jodie, Juliana, Kristen, Lisa, Nancy, Medea, Melanie, Rae, Rosie, Sanaa, Sharon, and Tighe

PS While Peace Prize winner Obama continues to wage wars in Afghanistan and beyond, today three women won the Nobel Peace Prize - true peacemakers.  Join us for the next five Tuesday nights, starting October 11, to hear their stories and those of many more women activists on PBS's Women War & Peace.
