 Dear CODEPINK Activist,

The heartbreaking day has come when the number of U.S. military casualties in Iraq has reached 2000. People across the country will join in solidarity to honor those who've died and call for the US troops to be brought home from Iraq now. This is an opportunity to move into action!

Speak out for the majority of Americans that believe the war in Iraq is wrong and want the troops home now.

Speak out for the many innocent Iraqis that have died, been maimed by the consequences of war or unjustly imprisoned and tortured at the hands of the U.S. government.

Speak out for all of the families that have sacrificed a loved one based on the lies of the Bush administration.

Speak out for the troops that are at the mercy of a Commander in Chief who is leading them directly into harms way.

Join one of the many vigils, marches or other anti-war events planned for tomorrow, Wednesday October 26th. Find an event in your community or volunteer to host an event. Be sure to also list your CODEPINK event through afsc.org and moveon.org to get the word out to as many people as possible. Check out the 2000 Too Many page for ideas and resources to help you plan your event. Send us pictures or a small report back and let us know how your event goes, email them to webmistress@codepinkalert.org.

Peace in Iraq depends on the conscience of those who have the strength to do the right thing even in the bleakest of moments. 2000 U.S. troops and tens of thousands of Iraqis have died; we must say NOT ONE MORE. Get into the streets tomorrow with your community and demand that the President do what is right. OUT OF IRAQ NOW!

In action for justice,
