Dear CODEPINK Activist,

Thank you for your outpouring of support for the victims of Katrina. Today trucks left Dallas and Houston to join Cindy Sheehan at Camp Casey III in Covington, Louisiana. They will deliver over 10 tons of relief supplies to New Orleans neighborhoods and communities in Mississippi. We used your generous donations to buy much-needed supplies for women and children.

Hurricane Katrina has exposed the Bush administration's total lack of concern for the safety and well-being of our communities. We knew this was the case in Iraq -- now we see it here at home. The Bush administration's criminal negligence must not go unchallenged. For the sake of our brothers and sisters who have been victimized by Bush's war or his disastrous response to Katrina, LET'S GIVE BUSH A PINK SLIP.

Join us in Washington DC on September 23rd to 26th as we increase the pressure on Congress to bring the troops home, expose the lies of the Bush administration, and show our determination to hold our government accountable for its misdeeds. When the women lead, the leaders will follow! Click here for details of the weekend mobilization.

Please do all you can to be with us and get your friends to join us. We can't let disaster after disaster happen as the incompetence of the White House unravels the fabric of our country and our world. If you can't join us, sign on to onemilllionreasons.org and get everyone you know to sign on. We'll hand-deliver your message to the White House on Sept 26th. Thank you again for your voices and generosity. Together, we can create a more peaceful and compassionate world.

With determination and hope,
Alicia, Andrea, Dana, Farida, Gael, Grace, Jodie, Linda, Medea, Rae, Tiffany and Whitney

P.S.
As students and parents settle into the new school year, CODEPINK and friends from the Leave My Child Alone coalition will be working towards ending the militarization of our youth! September marks a NATIONAL month of opt-out, with events all over the country. Join us in this action to spread the word about opting-out students from military databases. For more information, please visit CODEPINK's
Back-to-School web page and LeaveMyChildAlone.Org. Don't forget to forward this email to your friends!
