Dear CODEPINKer,

Thank you for all the ways you have helped us to make pink lemonade out of the political/foreign policy lemons. While the midterm elections were grim, we accomplished a lot together in 2010. Your calls, emails, loud and colorful voices in the streets kept the issues--others would rather avoid--in the public conversation.

There is much more to do and with your generous donation, in 2011 we will be a stronger, louder and more effective voice for peace, for our planet and for a life-affirming economy. For a donation of $100 or more you will receive our Subversive Coffee Clatch Premium which includes our delicious fair-trade, organic coffee, our war criminal playing cards, and a set of gorgeous pink note cards.

Highlights from 2010:

As Karl Rove, Condi Rice, Tony Blair and George Bush peddle their whitewashed version of history, we've been at their speaking venues spreading the truth (and brandishing cuffs and arrest warrants). Cheney, Rumsfeld and Gonzalez have memoirs coming out in 2011--look out!

Boycotting war profiteers! In DC, CODEPINK organized a successful campaign to keep war profiteer Northrop Grumman from moving its HQ to the district! Our Stolen Beauty boycott campaign against Ahava Cosmetics (Israeli settlement products) has now spread to the Czech Republic, South Africa, England, Canada and the Netherlands, and our team just returned from presenting compelling testimony against Ahava at the Russell Tribunal in London.

Our newest campaign supports local folks connecting the dots between the financial crisis, war spending and our federal budget. We are ready and poised to bring our war dollars home! Support this campaign today!

We were the first and only group to protest the BP disaster at their corporate headquarters in Houston (and in the nude!). In 2011, we will try to stop the U.S. Chamber of Commerce from sucking the life out of our democracy by dumping millions in undisclosed funds into our elections. Countering corporate corruption has never been so fun!

Yeah, we said it: war is insane! Though the Daily Show compared CODEPINK to the Tea Party, we recently caught Rachel Maddow and Stewart debating our tactics, impact and the bigger issue of peace activism in our country! We will give them plenty more fodder in 2011!

And that's just the tip of the iceberg--we have so much in the works! Please make sure that our voice--which is really YOUR voice--is not drowned out by the Tea Party this year. Your donation to CODEPINK is your investment in a world of peace and, yes, sanity.

Wishing you peace and love in the New Year,
Medea Benjamin & Jodie Evans

P.S. Do you CREDO? If you are a member of CREDO phone company (if you're not you should be--they are the only phone company that supports progressive causes!) you can vote for us as your favorite cause! The more ballot votes a group receives, the bigger the slice of the pie. Vote today! (Pssst...if you aren't a member, don't worry, you can find out more about all the cool, radical stuff they do here.)
