Dear CODEPINKer,

Many thanks to everyone who came out this weekend on the Boycott BP Day of Action! We protested at a BP-owned station in LA, organized the Mermaid Survivor of the BP Oilspill Contingent in the Coney Island Mermaid Parade, rallied at a BP station in Detroit to kick off the US Social Forum, and many more. Our team in Detroit took the energy from their Saturday BP Protest and did what so many of us have wanted to do for years--they BURIED THE HUMMER today in motor city; saying goodbye, good riddance to the symbol of a gas-guzzling, terror-fueling era and hello to green jobs and renewable energy!

Take inspiration from CODEPINK in Detroit and join the Hands Across the Sand on June 26--a world-wide gathering opposed to near and offshore drilling. CODEPINKers are encouraged to join an action already in the works or create their own! Print out and bring our handy flier, sign up and song/chant sheet (2-sided, 6 to a page) to the action!

This July 4th bring the message of Independence from Oil and Peace is Patriotic to your community events! And don't forget to order your own Peace Never Tasted So Sweet: CODEPINK Peace Pie Cookbook today and bake any one of the delicious pie recipes from CODEPINK women around the world. You can "cook up" your own event with one of our action recipes to make your July 4th peacefully patriotic! What's more patriotic than a Strawberry Peace Pie? Order today.

Building people power for a green, peaceful planet,
Dana, Farida, Gael, Gayle, Joan, Jodie, Medea, Nancy, Rae, and Victoria
