Hold
A Press Event Outside The Office Of Your Newly Elected Congressional
Representative. Throughout this week, local
and national media outlets will be covering the mid-term election
and interpreting the election results. Let's help them interpret
the results as a mandate for peace in Iraq!
- As soon as
possible after the election, hold an event outside the office
of your newly elected Congressional representative. The event
could combine congratulations for the new member's election with
an announcement that you are putting the new member on notice
that he/she must prioritize bringing the US troops home from Iraq.
- Come up with
creative visuals and slogans.
- Invite local
military families, veterans, clergy, labor unions and others who
will speak out for peace!
- List your
event our events calendar by clicking

- Don't forget
to report back on your event and upload photos of your action
on our Local
Spotlight!
