Taher Deghayes is the brother of detainee Omar Deghayes, and Zohra Shaban Zesawi is Omar's mother. They are traveling to Cuba from Dubai to participate in the protest against the prison on Guantanamo. Omar is a British resident, law school student and father who was arrested in Pakistan in 2002. He is presently detained as an unlawful combatant in the United States Guantánamo Bay Naval Base, Cuba. He alleges that he was abused and tortured, including blinded by pepper spray inside the prison.
