CODEPINK NYC has been trying to stop existing wars for years – now we need to keep the pressure on to prevent another one! A covert war on Iran is already underway, including assassinations of Iranian scientists and escalating economic sanctions amidst growing talk of Iranian "nuclear weapons." 

This Sunday CODEPINK NYC will join a major day of local anti-war actions around the country to say “No War on Iran!” In March, we will Occupy AIPAC to protest their unrelenting support for the Israeli government's bellicose policy towards Iran and push for a more peaceful U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East. Plus, save the date for upcoming counter-recruitment actions and our next organizing meeting!

Wednesday February 15th, 12 pm, Counter Military Recruitment Speak Out!

Join CODEPINK NYC in coalition with OWS anti-war and other peace and veteran groups for a Counter Military Recruitment Action Speak Out! From the Borough of Manhattan Community College we will proceed east along Chambers Street stopping at the Army, Air Force and Marine Recruiting Centers. Wednesday February 15, 6 pm, CODEPINK NYC Monthly Organizing Meeting

March 3rd-6th, Occupy AIPAC Summit, Washington, D.C.

CODEPINK: Women for Peace, Global Exchange, Interfaith Peace-builders and the Fellowship of Reconciliation, together with over 100 peace and justice groups, are organizing a gathering in Washington DC to take a stand for justice and peace in the Middle East! Timed to coincide with the annual policy meeting of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), we will bring activists and concerned citizens from around the country to learn about the extraordinary influence AIPAC has on U.S. policy and how to strengthen an alternative that respects the rights of all people in the region.

A daylong conference will take place on Saturday, March 3rd at Mount Vernon Place United Methodist Church. Demonstrations will take place outside AIPAC's conference from Sunday to Tuesday, March 4-6th. We'll have a 20? long Wall, a people-powered Freedom Flotilla, a memorial to peacemakers and innocents killed in Palestine, “Peanuts-style” dialogue booths, giant puppets, and more.  There will be time for street theater, marches and creative actions.
