Mother's Day 2006
On Mother's Day weekend, May 13-14th, 2006, we attended CODEPINK's national 24-hour vigil in front of the White House. We focus on participating in national actions, such as this vigil in DC, and the mass anti-war mobilization in New York City that happened on April 29, 2006.

Iraqi Women's Speaking Tour

On March 26, 2006, we were able to bring Dr. Entisar Ariabi, from the Iraqi women's delegation, and Rae Abileah, CODEPINK Local Groups Coordinator, to Amherst to speak to the true experiences/consequences of the War on Iraq.

International Women's Day
On March 8, 2006, Western Mass CODEPINK coordinators Tish and Priscilla attended the International Women's Day actions and events in Washington, DC. CODEPINK led a march from the Iraqi Embassy to the White House with a delegation of Iraqi women who spoke out about the occupation of their country by the US military forces.
