Congressman Rahm Emanuel's Chicago office lobby became a stage as Chicago Area CodePINK performed "You Bought It, You Own It!" The loosely scripted play based on familiar game shows featured characters portraying maimed Iraqi children, American soldiers, military family members, Gold Star Family members reading from letters, books, and Internet postings. After each reading was complete the text and pictures were placed in a shopping cart to symbolize that Congressman Emanuel has bought the pain, grief and loss represented in the words and pictures. The CodePINK Players performed twice, taking a long intermission in between, during which they fully "occupied" the lobby...well past closing time.
