May 27, 2005
CODEPINK and other anti-war demonstrators were arrested protesting Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. Protestors, including CODEPINK's Medea Benjamin had succeeded in disrupting her address to the San Francisco Commonwealth Club in the Louise M. Davies Symphony Hall.

Medea Benjamin, who was also arrested said, "We hold Condoleeza Rice responsible for dragging our country into this illegal war that has led to the death of over 1600 US soldiers and many thousands of Iraqis, and has sparked anti-US sentiment around the world."
