CODEPINK Retreat 06

And the women gathered!

Over 150 women gathered in Austin for our first national CODEPINK Retreat, and it was more AMAZING than we could have imagined! The power, beauty and authentic voice of each participant was heard and acknowledged creating an atmosphere of trust and friendship that everyone felt. We connected on such a deep and truthful level and know that our future actions and campaigns will be enriched by the participation of women from many of our ally organizations who were present as well as by women who knew very little about CODEPINK prior to the retreat. Our gathering was a great success and the soil has been tilled and made fertile for CODEPINK's growth as a movement.

And here's what Molly Ivins had to say about her experience at the retreat!

War
Resisters are irresitable!

Pictures from the retreat of us with Mark Wilkerson, the war resister who turned himself in today. Looks like "War Resisters are Irresistable" ad.
Kudos to Tiff and the gals in Crawford for helping him turn himself in with
support and love.
