Cycling for Peace and Justice

Want to combine bicycling with peace activism?

Ride with Bike-Aid 2006 and spread the message of Peace! Global Exchange's Bike-Aid has been in the peace and social justice movement for 21 years and is more than about being in motion on a bike.

Cross-Country Trip June 5-August 15

Join us from June 5 through August 15, 2006, as we ride to speak out for an end to the Iraq War and a safe return for our military men and women. Starting in Seattle and riding across the U.S. to Washington D.C, we will ride to increase public awareness about the Bush Administration's continued lack of support for veterans, now with the closing of much needed healthcare facilities across the U.S. We will ride peacefully and purposefully into red states to educate the public about the costs of this war and the ill-informed methods used for recruitment. This route is more than a trans-continental route; it is an arduously epic journey of intrepid riders set out to break the cycle of the war mentality and unchain the power of Peace! CODEPINK Midwest Trip July 21-25

Join Medea Benjamin, CODEPINK co-founder, and Fernando Suarez del Solar, Gold Star Families for Peace, on an exciting ride from Madison to Milwaukee to Chicago. This five day segment of the cross-country trip includes two full project days for local peace activism in Madison and Chicago. You can join for a day or the week. Cost is $80-$200 per day sliding scale.

Greet or host the peace cyclers along the way:
