CODEPINK Activists Disrupts POTUS at San Francisco Fundraiser

(San Francisco) While President Obama was addressing an audience of thousands at the Masonic Auditorium in San Francisco, CODEPINK activists and San Francisco residents Janine Boneparth and Nancy Mancias disrupted his speech, while wearing pink slips.

“Fracking just like deep water drilling is extreme energy. There's nothing clean about it. Fracking destroys our water tables bringing skyrocketing cancer clusters wherever it's been done,” states Janine Boneparth, a cancer patient.

“Even though the war in Iraq is ending, the administration continues to wage war using unmanned drones, killing hundreds of innocent civilians in the Afghanistan Pakistan border regions,” Nancy Mancias, CODEPINK Ground the Drones campaigner.

CODEPINK is a women-initiated grassroots peace and social justice movement working to end U.S. funded wars and occupations, to challenge militarism globally, and to redirect our resources into health care, education, green jobs and other life-affirming activities.
