Miami-- When George W. Bush comes to Miami to speak at the Book Fair, November 14th, Miami area activists, including CODEPINK will be ready with an outside protest demanding accountability and justice for the lies Bush told the American people during his time in office. The visual and vibrant protest will be held outside of the Chapman Conference Center where Bush is scheduled to speak. CODEPINK members have staged creative protests of George W. Bush and other war criminals across the country.

WHEN: November 14, 2010, 2:30PM
WHERE: Miami Dade College, 300 NE Second Ave., Miami, FL 33132

“We are outraged that President Bush has admitted to a crime; approving torture and is not being brought to justice. Instead he is profiting from a book full of deception and delusion. We think his book belongs in the Crime section of book stores and he belongs in court," says CODEPINK Cofounder, Jodie Evans.

The women's peace group has been in the headlines with their protests of Karl Rove at his book signings all around the country. See more coverage from the Rove/CODEPINK tour at http://bit.ly/b6DMiZ

CODEPINK, founded in 2002, is a women-initiated grassroots peace and social justice movement working to end the war in Iraq, stop new wars, and redirect our resources into health care, education and other life-affirming activities. We reject the Bush administration's fear-based politics that justify violence, and instead call for policies based on compassion, kindness and a commitment to international law. With an emphasis on joy and humor, CODEPINK women and men seek to activate, amplify and inspire a community of peacemakers through creative campaigns and a commitment to non-violence.
