Corporate Giveaways to Defense Contractor

On the 7th anniversary of the war against Iraq, CODEPINK is urging supporters to take action against local corporate giveaways to defense contractor, Northrop Grumman.

In a bid to get the war-profiteer to relocate to DC, the City Council is considering $25 million in subsidies and grants to the mammoth defense contractor that accrues no benefits for the people in the District of Columbia.

Prerma Lal of CODEPINK stated today, "We know that $25 million is money better invested in creating jobs, improving infrastructure and public services. You have the chance to mobilize against this corporate giveaway now and put an end to this corporate welfare."  More...
