Washington, D.C. - Women's rights and peace advocacy groups expressed opposing views about U.S. involvement in Afghanistan in anticipation of President Barack Obama's address to the nation Tuesday night.

Some activists called for more military and humanitarian efforts in the South Asian country, while members of the women's anti-war group Code Pink demonstrated in front of the White House, calling for an end to the war.
