  • 10 - 11:30a- Anti-Oppression Training on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Join seasoned activist, artist, and facilitator Chelsea Gregory for a high-energy, empowering, and introspective training on race, class, gender, and how increasing our awareness of power and privilege is crucial for real peace work.   • 5:30p- "Send Bush Packing!" CODEPINK Says Goodbye to the Bush Years by sending him off with suitcases, show tunes, and a hearty wave goodbye during the "Sage-ing the White House" event with comedian Kate Clinton, a joyous spectacle of cleansing the White House. [At White House perimeter on Lafayette Park side at DuPont Circle.]

TUESDAY, JANUARY 20 INAUGURATION DAY

  • AM- IF YOU HAVE TICKETS: Proceed to inaugural (Don't forget your pink and fill your pockets with Obama Peace Promises ribbons to give out!)
  • 10 am-IF YOU DON'T HAVE A TICKET: Converge at McPherson Square (15th & K Streets NW) at 10 am with the Celebrate People's History & Build Popular Power Bloc (http://www.hopefrompeople.com) to walk to viewing jumbotrons and get a spot along the parade route! "Yes We Can Can" your heart out. Move to entrances of parade route (check out indoor viewing options in our google calendar below)

  • 3 - 5p- CODEPINK celebration [CODEPINK Convergence Space]

  • 7p- Peace Ball! Join CODEPINK women and supporters including Howard Zinn, historian Amy Goodman of Democracy Now, Alice Walker, author ("The Color Purple"); Eve Ensler, playwright ("Vagina Monologues"); Bernice Johnson Reagon, vocal artist; Dick Gregory, political comedian and activist; and performers Michael Franti and Fertile Ground at [Smithsonian National Postal Museum, 2 Massachusetts Ave., N.E.]

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 21

  • If you are still in town join in solidarity actions!
  • 3p- First Day at the White House: Yes We Can End War and Call for a Ceasefire! On the first day of Obama's presidency, CODEPINK will be outside the White House (1600 Pennsylvania Ave.) raising the people's voices for peace and a ceasefire in Gaza.
