~ Happy New Year: I think that as Americans we have learned a hard lesson, some of us at least. On New Year's Eve after many decades of wishing our fellow Americans prosperity and wealth, we wished everyone Peace on Earth ( Not just words, we mean it). There is nothing trite about this wish because the world is awash in disharmony and war. My wish for '07 is that we Americans again become the "beacon of light" for the world. By that I don't mean proselytizing our religion and morals but, instead, standing up for what we believe in and becoming an integral part of our political workings no matter what party we "think" we belong to. In my estimation, the politicians are our problem and we are the solution. It is time to end our movie star "worship", following any leader blindly and take the time to educate ourselves for the future. In "07 let's turn off the tv, open a book and do as we did in the 60's..... Question Authority! Challenge authority! All authority! Happy New Year to all of you generous, wonderful people. Thanks for all that you have done to help the soldiers get through this difficult time in their lives. Judy Albarelli
