CODEPINK women from around New England gathered with allied groups in Copley Square in Boston to mark the 8th year of war on Afghanistan. RAWA speaker Zoya called for an end to occupation of her country and I got to meet her! A big honor. Codepinker Sarah Roche-Madhi asked the crowd to support the Gaza Freedom March. Many other good speakers on Honduras, housing -- and Bread & Puppet were there! PINK tabling by the Greater Boston group for rally was awesome! So great to march with PINK contingent 2+ miles to Boston common and back. We carried "Peace With Afghanistan" and "Don't Let Them Eat War" banners with "Ground the Drones" signage. After party at a nearby church and then back to western Mass, NH, and on buses to Maine.
