CODEPINKers descended on Chicago from all over: Cleveland, St. Louis, Indianapolis, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, and from all over the Midwest states. Of course, members of Chicago Area CodePINK and Northwest Indiana CODEPINK were well represented, too, including some new faces. In solidarity with our sister Des in DC who fearlessly confronted Condi Rice with "blood on her hands" several dozen of us offered our right hands for a splash of blood. The message was understood by many of those in attendance. We were honored to have in our midst Lori Perdue from Indy, who was arrested during the same hearing as Desiree (apparently for sitting while wearing PINK). It's becoming a scary world out there.
