CODEPINK Peace Delegation to Yemen

About the Trip: After the great success of the International Peace Delegation to Pakistan led by CODEPINK last October, we decided it's important to take a similar trip to Yemen. As citizen diplomats from the United States, we traveled to Yemen to learn about the effects of our government's policies, and show support for people who are negatively impacted as a result of them. During our stay, we met with survivors of US drone strikes, families with loved ones in Guantanamo and the lawyers representing them, legal and human right organizations, political analysts, Yemeni government officials, and the US Ambassador.

Now that we have returned, we are meeting with elected officials and making presentations about the trip. If you are interested in organizing a community event to host one of the delegates as a presenter, please contact Natalie[at]codepink.org.
