bake and speak and dance for peace, crumbs of
our recipes still on your lips.
CODEPINK participated in our Mother's Day Peace
Fair on the National Mall on Saturday, May 8,
2010.
We are organized a powerful gathering to bring
the message of peace and disarmament to the annual
military exhibition fair that will be installed
on our National Mall.

Taxpaying Mothers Manifesto just outside the Military
Arms Fair on the National Mall. At 3pm a media
action at the Military Arms Fair with message
"Arms are for Hugging!" took place.

The event reflected a vision of peace in opposition
to the tanks, guns and war machines inside the
mall. We started with a pot-luck picnic, and moved
into a program of music, poetry, talks from women
in war-torn countries and updates from women working
to improve conditions here at home. We had children's
crafts, a hug-In booth, and a dance for peace.
