March 8th 2010 — was even more significant
as we marked the 100th-year anniversary of International Women's
Day.
We celebrated the strengths and achievements of women by
taking part in Women for Women International's Join
me on the Bridge Campaign. We also joined CODEPINK
D.C. for a weekend of trainings and events--the 2010
Grassroots Advocacy Training and Congressional Education Day
-- with the US Campaign to End the Israeli Occupation, Interfaith
Peace-Builders (+ special pink
events at Busboys & Poets). In honor of International
Women's Day, March 8, CODEPINK also
held a boycott of Ahava action and co-hosted a women's peacebuilders
speaking event with our sister organization Peace x Peace.
