Join us in NYC to say: Stop the War, Stop the Warming!

Dear Activist,

Join us to save the world.

The specter of nuclear war still hangs over the world. US policy is the main obstacle to effective global action on climate change, world peace, and nuclear disarmament. Peace, anti-war, and environmental activists are joining together for immediate action!

On Sunday, September 21st, CODEPINK activists from around the country will join together as part of the Peace Table for the People's Climate March. Bring your pink, bring your passion, let's put our shoulders against the arch of history and push!

We'll take to the streets for a world with good jobs, clean air, and healthy communities for everyone. A world free from the pollutants of war. An economy focused on improving the lives of all, rather than the building of toxic war machines.

CODEPINK will gather as a community at 8:30am for breakfast, a rally, and to create an aerial image, RSVP for location! At 11:30am our Peace and Justice Coalition will merge with other coalitions for the 2.5 mile march through the streets of New York City. With our chants and our songs, our hearts and our desires, we will nourish our fierce commitment and inspire those watching to cotinue the work toward peace and justice.

We go to New York to demand that the US government:
Stop wars for oil.
Redirect military spending to fund green jobs and sustainable infrastructure.
Move to abolish all nuclear weapons as required by the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty
Stop blocking proposals for effective international action on climate put forward by developing countries
Stop the Keystone pipeline project, fracking and offshore drilling.

The Climate Ribbon, organized by former CODEPINK co-director Rae Abileah and friends, will be a massive public art installation and ritual space to move us through our grief and fear and into action.

Visit our Climate Ribbon page for instructions on how you can participate even if you can't join us in the march (and consider joining a local solidarity march in your area!).

September 21st is International Peace Day.  A day when we as peace activists need to be in the streets together, reaffirming our commitment, nourishing our passion, and commiting to the work ahead. Make history with us.

RSVP to confirm that you’ll be marching with CODEPINK, find out how to submit your own ribbon for the Climate Ribbon, and learn about events leading up to the Climate March on our Climate March Events Calendar.

See you in the streets!
