Dear Supporter,

Right now CODEPINK activists from California are participating in sit-ins inside the offices of Senators Boxer and Feinstein with our friends from Jewish Voice for Peace & American Muslims for Palestine. This sit-in of both offices simultaneously has been organized to express dismay with their near unconditional support to Israel’s ongoing occupation and recent invasion of Gaza, resulting in close to two thousand deaths, 80% of whom were civilians. Here is a copy of the letter activists are delivering to Senator Boxer and to Senator Feinstein.

US Senate Resolution 498 was approved unanimously on July 17, supporting Israel’s attack on Gaza and making no mention of Palestinian deaths and the disproportionate use of force against civilians. It is an outrage that the resolution failed to acknowledge the underlying conditions of occupation and blockade.

We need your help to pressure our senators to stand up against Israel's Oppression! Please call the offices Senator Boxer and Senator Feinstein right now and express your disappointment for their support of Senate Resolution 498 and their support for sending further arms to Israel. Demand that the Senators support a full, independent investigation into Operation Protective Edge.

Sen. Boxer’s Office: (213) 894-5000

Sen. Feinstein’s Office: (310) 914-7300

It is time for Californians to speak up! Call now!

After your call, please share this information via FB and Twitter.

With hope for peace in Gaza,

Jodie, Sophia, and Holly
