July 10, 2014 Dear Activist, These past weeks our hearts have broken as we have witnessed the brutal deaths of both Palestinians and Israelis. We strongly condemn the targeting of civilians by all parties and call for an end to the violence. Send a letter to President Obama and Congress now, and tell them to take a stand against the ongoing bombing of Gaza and call for a ceasefire immediately! Since June 12th, Israel has engaged in a brutal campaign of collective punishment against the Palestinian people, raiding West Bank towns and villages, arresting hundreds of civilians, including children, and bombing Gaza with a death toll of over 80 in just days. Folks around the world are mobilizing to protest this escalation in violence –– find out what is happening near you! We recognize that in order to achieve any sort of sustainable peace, the Israeli occupation of Palestine must end. This week marks the 10th anniversary of the International Court of Justice's ruling against Israel's annexation wall, and the 9th anniversary of the call for boycott, divestment and sanctions in support of Palestinian rights. Join a local BDS campaign and support dignity, equality, and justice for all in Israel and Palestine. We must act to stop this escalation before more lives are lost.
