May 12, 2014 Dear Activist, Did you know that David Barron, the man who legally justified the killing of American citizens with drones, has recently been appointed by President Obama to be a high-ranking judge –– for life??? Email Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and tell him to kill Barron's nomination. Then, email David Barron and ask him to to withdraw his nomination! Barron's secret legal memos from his time at the Department of Justice led to the murder of 4 Americans by killer drones. Among them was a 16 year-old boy named Abdulrahman Al-Awlaki. Now, Barron has been nominated to a judicial position that is just one step below the Supreme Court. No one who so clearly violates the right to due process should be awarded with a judgeship (see Senator Rand Paul's great op-ed)! Senator Mark Udall has called for the drone memos to be made public. We agree –– we're fed up with the secrecy that has characterized the US drone program! Barron should be held accountible for his actions, not rewarded.
