Dallas Morning News Rejects CODEPINK Ad Submission Criticizing Bush; Activists Plan Day of Actions

Dallas, Texas - CODEPINK and other activists have been in the streets of Dallas to expose the bost of Bush's lies in the face of a celebration and a $500 million concrete edifice to his legacy. To respond to a 30-page propaganda piece about the Bush family, CODEPINK decided to submit the attached ad, and after 5 attempts to comply with their ad requirement it was still rejected, denying a voice of dissent in the face of more lies.

At 6:00 pm today (April 24th), a large coalition of activists including CODEPINK will meet at the corner of North Lindhurst Ave and Strait Lane to protest a fundraiser for President Obama happening in a residential Dallas neighborhood. Demonstrators will be calling on President Obama to hold the Bush administration accountable for its war crimes during Bush's presidency. Some activists will be wearing “billionaire” costumes to highlight Obama's complicity when it comes to the corrupt role of money in politics, and the overarching theme of the demos will be: Where is the justice?

CODEPINK activists and allies have been using the opportunity of the opening of the new George W. Bush Library & Policy Center in Dallas to bring attention to the injustices committed by former president George W. Bush and his administration, particularly the invasion and destruction of Iraq and the use of torture directed from his office.
