(San Francisco) In an act of solidarity Bay Area activists will gather outside the historical Ferry Building on February 25th, which has been announced as a "Day of Rage" in Palestine and Iraq. Thousands of protesters across the Middle East and North Africa continue to peacefully assemble to demand true democracy, and social reform. The people of these countries are all also against US interests, upholding dictators which do not represent the will of the people, and outside interference in their affairs. This holds true in the occupied countries of Iraq and Palestine as well.

In Iraq people have been demonstrating all week, calling for better services, jobs and an end to government corruption. Baghdad municipality wants compensation of a billion dollars for the U.S. acting like a bull in the china shop, destroying its historical infrastructure, and leading to the looting of precious artifacts.

Palestinians are planning their “Day of Rage” to protest the American veto on a United Nations resolution condemning Israeli settlements. Palestinians are planning their own “Day of Rage” to protest the American veto on a United Nations resolution condemning Israeli settlements.
